Well, the season is on us again! What will it bring? The answer: ‘Who knows?’. What I would like to see is the Thirds maintaining the high level of performance shown throughout last year, with maybe a few changes. They are:

1. 1. Supporting the 2nds
2. 2. Bringing more juniors into the set-up
3. 3. Promotion

So let’s start with:

1. I am very keen to see players supporting the club as a whole rather than the team they happen to be playing for at any given time.
2. We need to bring the juniors on, but not at the cost of being beaten every week. We need to find three or four good young players and encourage them.
3. After coming so close last year, not achieving promotion was a bitter pill to swallow, especially losing to Wigan after having all the play and losing to a single goal. We need to be more consistent, look at the way we play, and maybe fine tune our skills a little. And then promotion could be ours!

On that note, let’s hope that the club has it’s best season ever in every department.
