Under new management, the Badgers and Beavers had a fairly successful season particularly since many of the games, including the U16 Badgers, were played by the younger and very much smaller boys. At U13 level, the team was only beaten once and played excellent team hockey.

We had some very good wins, some close games and of course the odd beating. But more importantly, even against much bigger boys, we have shown an excellent team spirit and determination, kept smiling and worked very hard.

This season also saw success for four of our boys at Lancashire level – David Waby (U16), Sam Ashworth (U15), Andy Robinson and Stuart Waby (U13). Well done to those boys and I am sure that this is the start of many more of our boys training and playing at County level.

The parent help and support for the team throughout the season was tremendous and a big thank you must be given to all. At the end of the season, an evening of ten pin bowling was enjoyed in Blackpool by many parents and boys. Thanks to all for your support. Look forward to another successful season!
